One-nave temple, dimensions 26x13.70 meters. After the construction was completed, the temple was consecrated by the bishop of Zvornik-Tuzla, Vidin, in 1869.
According to the records of Father Pavle Katanić, who was the archbishop's deputy of Bijeljina at the beginning of the 20th century, and whose manuscript was found in 2008 in the bell tower of the church of St. George, "Serbs in Bijeljina did not have a church but priests went to Brodac to serve." That is why in 1844 they built a church which was consecrated by Bishop Kiril from Zvornik. The next day after the consecration, the Turks demolished the church, and then - the grandfather of Father Pavle Katanić, together with some Sekul Kadžabaš and Teodor Tomić - went to the Vizier in Travnik to complain. The vizier ordered the Turks from Bijeljina to give money for the church to be rebuilt, and the Serbs built a log cabin church, which served until 1869, when the construction was completed and the current temple was consecrated. The temple was then consecrated by Bishop Paisija, who came to our diocese from Vidin. "
The temple was painted during two months in 1948. It was painted by the Czechoslovak Karlo Macek. During 2009 and 2010, the lower part of the apse of the altar, which was previously covered with rugs, was painted, as well as the part of the wall created by walling the south door on the nave of the church. These works were performed by the academic painter Jovan Atanacković from Belgrade, trying to adapt to the style in which the frescoes of the temple were made earlier. The iconostasis is made of linden wood with a gilded relief woodcut. The icons on the iconostasis were painted by the Bijeljina painter Milenko Atanacković, probably with his students, since there is a noticeable difference in the quality of the icons. The icons are made in the Baroque style.
