The monastery is located only 200 m from the City Assembly building, in a monastery complex that covers an area of 3,500 m2. In addition to the monastery temple, which is located in the central part of the complex, buildings have been built that have multiple purposes. The dominant motif of this complex is a bell tower with a clock over 30 meters high. Since it can be seen from all sides, it has become a symbol of the monastery and a landmark for travelers through Bijeljina
In one part of the monastery complex is the temporary seat of the Bishop of Zvornik-Tuzla, Mr. Vasilije, then a museum of 400 m2, a dining room, a ceremonial hall, offices, a library, living space, a lecture hall, cells for monks, a candlestick with an icon and souvenir shop, etc. All buildings are functionally connected by a masonry fence that encloses the monastery complex.
The monastery temple is an architectural and artistic work of high value, for the construction of which the best builders of this area were hired. The interior of the temple is painted with beautiful frescoes by Dragan Marunić from Belgrade.
In front of the altar in the temple, there is a cover from the relics of Saint Basil of Ostrog and a part of the relics of Saint Sisoje the Great. A special value of the monastery church is a copy of the miraculous icon of the Three Hands, which is a gift from the Hilandar monastery.
The construction of the monastery began in 1996, and the complete complex was completed in 2001, when it was consecrated on May 12 in the presence of 19 hierarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church, numerous dignitaries and faithful people.
The gate of the monastery is extremely decorated with a lot of Mediterranean plants, which makes this place a bit unreal. It is also a great blessing, so staying in this place is extremely pleasant.
